About

Purpose

This website was developed during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic primarily as a teaching tool for a weekly Bible study. Due to statewide stay-at-home orders, the weekly Bible study was temporarily held virtually over video-teleconferencing services. The website was helpful in providing an outline with hover-over Bible verses for the attendees. This site is a tool to help you study the Bible using resources that hold to a high view of Scripture as the Word of God (2 Tim 3:16-17). We hope you will find this site to be edifying and helpful.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. - Hebrews 4:12

The Bible-Sword logo is part of a statue The Pilgrim which is to commemorate the Pilgrims' landing at Plymouth Rock. The Pilgrims sought religious freedom and to share the Gospel with people who had never heard it before so they risked and often sacrificed their lives for their faith. Armed with the Bible as their sword, they bravely and joyfully sought to serve the Lord with everything they had. As people also redeemed by Jesus Christ through His sacrifice on the cross (Eph 1:7), our best weapon against evil -- including our own flesh (Rom 7:23) -- is also the Word of God (2 Cor 10:4, 2 Tim 3:16-17). We pray that this symbol will inspire and remind you to fix your eyes on Jesus (Heb 12:2) and to wear the full armor of God (Eph 6:10-18) in your service to Him.
